🍂 During the Autumn months when the leaves are starting to fall from the trees, we set about to collect them from council depots and transport them back to our Resource Recovery Facility. Once the leaves have been unloaded at our site, we begin the decontamination process to remove all rubbish and non-organic materials. The start to finish process of making our Golden Flake Mulch! 1. First we use our large mechanics shears to cut large logs into smaller pieces 2. Next we do a primary grind by putting the sheared up logs through our large Grinder 3. After the primary grind we need to then put it through a grinder for a secondary grind but this time with much finer screens to make sure we get a nice consistent and finer product. Here are a couple snaps from yesterdays Mulching at @bigwatermelonbp Chris from Mowscape and his team have been working on cleaning up the entire site by mowing,slashing,trimming back tree branches and pruning back the overgrown grass and orchard and called us to come in and mulch up the first stage of greenwaste that they had collected.
