Here at Garden State Mulching Services, we have been a leader in large scale Green Waste and Timber Mulching in Victoria since the purchase of our first large Van Gelder Mulcher in 1994. With a growing demand for contract Green Waste Shredding, a second, and larger Van Gelder Grinder was purchased in 2000.

 

Since then, we have had a large demand for on and off-site contract Mulching including Golf Courses, landfill and Transfer stations, Council Yards, Commercial sites, Bushfire recovery and more.

In 2009 Garden State also provided site clean up, shearing, mulching and bulk transport services in relation to fire damaged trees, logs and branches to the Alpine region after the Black Saturday fires. A similar service was provided to the Murrindindi Shire Council for a further year. Garden State Mulching Services have worked with councils all over Victory in regards to shearing, land clearing, mulching and more. Some of these include Mulching at Manningham shire Council, Eagle Hawk Transfer station, Heathcote Transfer station, White horse council and many more in the east and south east of Melbourne.

 

Today Garden State Mulching Services have 3 large Horizontal Grinders and are more than equipped for all large scale mulching jobs. All machines are highly well maintained, as safety is always our first priority.

Mulching head attachment

Our mulching head attachment is great for cutting through dense shrubbery and bush without the need for a large Grinder on site. This is a great way to clear areas that have overgrown and along farming fence lines that may need access to be repaired.

We also have large hydraulic and mechanical shearing attachments for the excavators to deal with large stumps and logs when they are too big to go through the Shredder.

Grinders

Queen B

Queen B is a track mounted Red Back ‘Stinger’ Grinder and is powered by a 1000hp Cat 3412e engine. Being mounted on tracks makes it ideal to move around on difficult sites. 

Bendigo

Our ‘Bendigo’ machine is a wheel mounted Red Back ‘Stinger’ Grinder powered by a 600hp Cat C16 engine. This design configuration means it can be towed like a trailer by a prime mover making it quick and easy to move to different sites without the need for a float. 

Kermit

Kermit is our smallest grinder in the fleet and is a Van Gelder wheel mounted machine powered by a 450hp Cat 3406 Engine.

 

The size of the product that is mulched is determined by the size of the internal screens that are in the Grinders. These screens come in a range of sizes and can be changed when needed to suit different jobs.
